For example blogspot.com is a best place to start writing free blog; all you have to do is to sign up with them with your email id. To blog on blogspot.com you will need Google’s email id. This site of mine you have visited and reading is also on blogspot.com and I am making it free without spending any pennies.
Remember while creating first blog you will require giving it a name, an http address. It is like “yourblogname.com”. This is your site address by which anyone can access your blog. If you want to earn from your blog then you have to choose its name, description and title wisely. I have mentioned below how to choose those things for your knowledge.
How to choose correct http address/ name of your Blog?
Giving correct name to your blog is very important; visitors can easily recognize what kinds of blog you have by just reading your blog’s http address. Beside this your blog address also helps you to rank better in search result, it acts like a keyword which is very important for search engines. For example if you are writing blogs on computer learning then your blog address should be something like this: computertutorial.com or learncomputer.com and etc.
How to choose correct title of your Blog?
Title is the most important thing your blog should have. Your blog title not only shows on address bar but also helps to rank in search engine. You should try to write a catchy title which can easily attract visitors attention but make sure to use keywords in your title (don’t know what keywords is; read below). If your blog is on computer learning then your title should be somewhat like this: Learn basic of computer online with complete tutorials. Look the words I have bolded, this works like keywords for search engine.
How to choose keywords?
There are some networks which may ask you to add keywords for your blog in such cases you should select words which reflect you blog. Keywords are words which search engine looks for while crawling your site. For example blogs on computer learning should have “online tutorials, basic computer, learn computer and etc”. Now if any person searches for words in search box which matches your keywords then definitely your site will come in the search list page.
How to make categories?
Categories were like ledger; if you have written many pages or post on same topic then you can create a category in your blog and name it according to your post’s topic, now place all the post under that category. Like this you can create many categories according to your topic of post’s types. This helps your site visitors to easily find out what they need simply by going through categories and also looks professional.
How to promote your blog?
Now when you have finished writing your blog with lots of informative or educative post, you will want to have visitors to your blog. You will want others to read your blog but the question is how? People will not discover your blog right after you publishes. If your blog is rich with keyword and have lots of information then you can see visitors arriving from search engines but many times this is not enough to draw lots of visitors to your site. Especially if you mean business with your blog then you will need good traffic for making sales and so the best method is to go for advertising. You can choose pay advertising or free advertising. Pay advertising work fast and gives quick result. Some of networks for such advertising purposes were Yahoo advertiser, Google Adwords, MSN Ads and etc.

After you have finished writing your blog and completed all the stuffs mentioned above; you are ready to set your blog to start earning money for you. Simply choose what kind of online business you like to do. If you want to do affiliate business then sign up with affiliate network (like amazon.com, eBay and etc) and start putting your affiliation link in your blog.
